House of Soviets (Dom Sovetov), built in Stalinist period style in 1951-1953, houses today the Soviet of Tiraspol and the administration of the city.

DOM SOVETOV - detail with the inscription on the frontispice

Near the year positioning two small signs are placed, detailed in the nearby picture. One of them is the monogram MMD, that shows that the coin was struck at Moscow. MMD is a short for Moskovskii Monetnyi Dvor, meaning Moscow Mint.

The second sign is a medalion with a female face. The meaning of the face is unknown to us.

These designs were used for two so-called "investment coins", gold coins with 15 roubles face value, weighing 156.4 grams of 99.9% pure gold, issued in 15 pieces each.
