This token is presented in [1] in the chapter "Pieces of Unidentified Sources" under the code EN-426. Also in [1] the piece is attributed to Octavian Dogariu, who is mentioned in the chapter "Engravers and Workshops": "Timişoara, talented amateur engraver; he signs: OCTADO, O.D.". The book presents another OCTADO piece, of the same diameter, in which the rampant lion is replaced by a scorpion - EN-422. There is another series of tokens on which exactly the same shield with the representation of a bird appears, issued by S.C. DOGARESA S.R.L., which is inscribed as "presence token" [1]. It is obvious that they are made by the same engraver.

Information can be found on the Internet about two medals engraved by Octavian Dogariu. One is the medal "100 de ani de la intrarea României în Primul Război Mondial" (100 years since Romania's entry into the First World War); a total of 63 pieces were minted in three metal variants, for Asociaţia Colecţionarilor din Sălaj (Sălaj Collectors' Association) and for "Alianţa Naţională pentru Restaurarea Monarhiei" (National Alliance for the Restoration of the Monarchy) [2]. The second is the medal "125 years since the establishment of the Banat Museum (1872 – 1997)", the pieces being made of brass [3].

There is information on the Internet that the company DOGARIU OCTAVIAN - DOGARESA PFA has been operating in Timiş County since 2012, with the activity classified under CAEN code 3212 - Manufacture of jewellery and similar articles of precious metals and gemstones [4]. Company DOGARESA S.R.L., with the same address, established in 1993, existed prior to 2012 [5].
