It must be mentioned that the Romanian football team lost all three matches played at the 1996 UEFA European Football Championship: 1-0 with France, 1-0 with Bulgaria and 2-1 with Spain. Our single goal was scored by Florin Răducioiu. In the game with Bulgaria a goal scored by Dorinel Munteanu (after a corner kick) was malevolently not validated by the referee.
